Embracing all feelings – even pain

It will get better, it always gets better, and if you don’t believe that truth already, decorate your mind with that thought starting from today and witness the magical changes. Embrace feelings, even pain.

Throughout society we have been conditioned to look at these feelings as something ‘wrong’ or ‘bad’. As children and even as adults when we would cry the first thing someone would ask us is “what’s wrong?”. So if something is wrong, what is the first thing we usually try to do? Avoid doing it.

There is nothing wrong about feeling and it is completely normal to feel crappy at times. It is part of feeling, living and being truly alive.

Whether you are feeling fear, sadness, depressed, angry, anxious, hurt, heartbroken – the list can go on. Rather than trying to avoid feeling this way and viewing it as a ‘bad’ thing, instead lets try to embrace them by observing them in the moment, for every tiny challenge you have overcome is a whole battle won.

Pain is a tool for growth, strength and a step towards fuelling your hope to finding happiness and love. Pain is the process of healing, when you feel hurt it’s a signal that your energetic body needs healing. After you embrace this pain by experiencing and acknowledging it’s there, we then need to understand why it’s there and move on away from it. It’s important not to keep yourself there. Overcoming the challenge of pain is what makes us stronger, courageous, filled with love and will bring us closer to finding our ultimate happiness.

Thoughts are an illusion. A powerful illusion. This illusion adds to the dream of life.

How we create thought patterns can be simply described as:

  1.  A repeated decorative design.
  2. A maintained, regular form or sequence in our perception and the way we look at situations when they happen or how we handle them.
  3. A reoccurring design.
  4. We regularly add to these thoughts and add form to them everyday.

The mind is made up of our thoughts but these thoughts are not who we truly are. They affect how we feel emotionally which then triggers a physical response and affects our energetic body. In order to change or control these thoughts you need to take a look at how you decorate your thoughts. You need to take a look at your perception of the world and the ways in which you feed your mind to maintain this perception that you have, understand your attitude and your reactions towards certain situations, understand that these thoughts that you place in your mind become reoccurring and that everyday you have the power and ability to add to or alter the form of them.

Your mind can take you infinitely anywhere you want to go. Your mind can make you believe infinitely anything you tell it to believe.

Your mind is connected to your body. What you think, you begin to feel and your body is also affected physically and energetically. You control your body through your mind. When you intend to pick something up off a table, it is your mind that subconsciously tells your hand to do that movement. We aren’t completely aware of our subconscious but it is there and what we place in our mind with our thoughts affects the pattern of our mind. You can provide it with positive or negative experiences and you can heal your mind and body. We create our own experiences, everything we feel and react to is a choice and a responsibility we have, we create our own heaven or hell on earth.

This process is a journey, it may be a life long journey but it isn’t all about the destination. When you go on a holiday you need to go through the process of making your way to the destination and then when you reach the destination, you have more plans to explore it. The entire destination is about the overall journey of our holiday, even when we get there we never stop exploring. And we never should stop exploring.

This is the same with our mind. You have the power to choose how you want to explore it through how you program it with what information you surround yourself with, how you want to filter it through your thought patterns and how you will explore it through your experiences. Will you continue to explore after reaching a destination or will you cease to explore because you have arrived?

You can begin the journey to change your thoughts to change your life anytime you want. You always have the power within you to change your thoughts and thus your life.
